Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith…ready for it to be over
Jul 13

So I started the “Vampire Diaries” by L.J. Smith last week and this has to be the first ever book to TV series that I can honestly say that the TV series counterpart is better than the book.
“The Vampire Diaries” is the story of Elena Gilbert who lives in the small town of Fell’s Church. She quickly falls in love with Stefan Salvatore who happens to be a vampire. The story follows all of the crazy situations that Elena and her friends get into while trying to keep her town and Stefan’s identity safe.
The book is a little bizarre and fake feeling. I know its about vampires and vampires are fake but many elements of the story seem fake. Also I feel that Elena and Stefan fall in love way to quickly and they have a weird feeling relationship. You don’t get the “falling” part of falling in love with them….you skip straight to love and it comes off strange.
The TV show is very loosely based on the book series when I say loosely I mean names, small town setting and that is about it. The TV show is pretty good, exciting, racy etc. but the book series this is one you could skip.

I love Damon but I want Elena to be with Stefan, because they just belong together (or at least for me). And yes even thought Elena and Damon have some chemistry I just can´t see them dating..it would be wierd for all of them. I always have thought of them like about two people who care for each other.Damon never really cares about anyone since Katherine and now he´s becoming better person, he´s starting to care about people and he deserve someone who really loves him not his brother girfriend.
